Lauren Bavin lives in Auckland New Zealand, the mother of 3 children: Cameron 16, Matthew, 14 Hannah 7, and wife of Steve. Lauren has never really paper scrapped- but has been digitally scrapbooking for nearly 7 years, but it was like she had found her passion in life when she discovered digital scrapbooking. She had been searching on the net for ways to improve her digital photos and ran across some of the digital scrapbooking sites, and she was hooked in seconds. Her style is a constantly evolving thing but generally that of a paper scrapbooker without the bulk of “real “ embellishment

She loves all styles of digital scrapbooking, but her forte is probably the recreation of realistic elements for paper style pages. Self-taught in Photoshop, she has used Paint Shop Pro and Picture It, but is in love with Photoshop!!!

In her real life (when she has one!) she loves to read – her favorite authors are Lee Child and Harlen Coben but has a very eclectic taste and will read just about anything recommended to her, and favorite TV program would probably be "24", but changes her preferences with the wind!
Lauren works full time for DSP , designing, and teaching digital scrapbooking and is honoured that this passion can be now called her career.

She also loves to entertain and does quite a bit of it – scouring her (hundreds of) cookbooks for wonderful recipes to try out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have time to do as much of this as she used to. Lauren has traveled quite extensively, especially in her early adult years as do many New Zealanders and 2007 has been the highlight of her travel experiences as she has visited the US to meet up with her fellow DSP members not once but 3 times and cant wait to return.

Zodiac Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"I'm not much one to follow the horoscopes, but most of my friends are. So I'm in the process of making framable zodiac layouts for all of them--to be distributed as their birthdays occur. You can put a layout like this in a not-so-expensive frame and it looks like you spent a mint on it, so everybody's happy--my purse and my friends!"

Brown Eyes Blue Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"I was totally amazed when I combined the photos I had taken with this wonderful kit! It was like Lauren took one of my photos and created a kit from the colors! They matched perfectly! What a wonderful find!"

A Magic Spell Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"A hardy thank you to Lauren! I've been harassing the poor woman for over a year to make a kit like this! She came through with flying colors! It's an awesome kit, full to the prim of great elements! Perfect for Halloween, or- in my case.... Perfect for the Potter Geek in ya ;) Thanks Lauren! ~Tina"

Boy2Man Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"A fabulous masculine kit. I love the checkerplate boarder and the rusted looking screws and photo corners. The brown and silver tones of the kit are perfect for your boy to man photos whether colour, black and white, or sepia."

Golden Summer Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"I attended Lauren's chat for the first time and this was the featured kit, so I decided to challenge myself and branch out from my usual. The style of this kit isn't my typical. Cheers I attended the chat and was introduced to this treasure. I'm in love. This kit is so full of rich color and beauty. It is soft enough for layouts featuring female subjects while maintaining a strong enough presence through the rich colors and grey that it also works for males. One person in the challenge even used it to feature her Christmas tree."
